Hudson Taylor China Inland Mission A 20 year study conducted across the '60's, '70's and 80's tracked 1,500 people who set out to become wealthy. Of these people, 83% decided to go into a line of work that they didn't particularly enjoy, but which promised a lot of money. The other 17% did what they loved hoping the money would follow. Of those 1,500 people, 101 eventually became millionaires. Guess how many were in each group? 100 were in the 17% who did what they loved. Only 1 person in the 83% who pursued the money eventually became a millionaire. The lesson?: Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow. Follow your righteous desires and not only does happiness follow, but also so does prosperity when you know the laws of abundant living.

He’s about clothing the lilies and feeding the sparrows and about giving you everything you need to fulfill your mission in life. He wants you to have joy, and He knows you can only do that by filling the full measure of your creation. The riches of eternity are in His hands and they are His to give. He wants to share them with you. He wants to teach you His mysteries and unfold the riches of eternity to your view. But if you never ask, you can never receive. If you don’t have faith, then you can’t unlock the treasure chest of blessings that literally has your name on it!

Too many of us are like the servant who hid his talent for fear that he’d lose it. Jesus taught "where much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48). If we have talents and gifts and we do not use them to build up and glorify the kingdom of God and promote righteousness in the world, then we have failed. We are as the unprofitable servant whose talent was taken away and given to another. It is our duty, our obligation to develop to our fullest potential in mind, body and soul.

The Lord wants you to prosper. He seeks to bless you and it is His will that through His grace you may stand as a city on a hill, an example to all those with whom you associate.
